The foul was a little unnecessary considering the game means nothing but what’s done is done. Griffin told ESPN after the game that if it keeps happening to him he will have to start doing something about it.
Griffin asked if he feels close to retaliating and he said, “Yeah probably, I’m not going to do it for no reason or if it’s not warranted and I didn’t feel that was. It’s more about standing up for yourself. There’s times when hard fouls are a part of the game and there’s times where they are a little bit further than that.”
Doc Rivers and Chris Paul feel that he gets more cheap shots than anyone in the league and if that is true it remains to be seen if retaliation is the right way to address them.
