Aquino has had no better luck repatriating $3.5 billion of gold supposedly smuggled by Marcos into a Zurich warehouse. Swiss courts may not release any assets unless Imelda is allowed to return to the Philippines to face criminal charges–an event Aquino finds personally and politically unacceptable.
