The Travelers has a tough act to follow considering the thrilling finish between Matt Fitzpatrick and Will Zalatoris at the U.S. Open, but they have managed to get a few of the tour’s big names to join its field. World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler will play in the tournament along with Rory McIlroy, who is just a couple of weeks removed from his win at the Canadian Open.

Scheffler and McIlroy will be the favorites to win among a weaker field that is now without Justin Thomas, who withdrew from the tournament due to back tightness. Additionally, Brooks Koepka withdrew as he prepares to join LIV Golf while several other top players, including the U.S. Open-winning Fitzpatrick, are taking a week off.

Still, there are plenty of talented players in the field who will have a chance to post good scores on one of the shortest PGA Tour courses. Defending champion Harris English will look to repeat after missing a lot of time due to injury, and other top players like Jordan Spieth, Sam Burns, Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay will try to build momentum before The Open Championship.

Golf fans will certainly want to tune in to see some low-scoring golf after the erratic conditions at last week’s U.S. Open. Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the 2022 Travelers Championship.
