Tuesday marked the close of the summer edition of the transfer window for the majority of European leagues, including all the major ones: English Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and the Bundesliga. The leagues in Russia (Sept. 7) and Turkey (Sept. 8) have an extended transfer window into September.

The next European transfer window comes in the winter, and will last for one month in January 2022 (Jan. 1-Jan. 31). Clubs can always sign players who are out of contract as in the case of Radamel Falcao (linked with Rayo Vallecano), Serge Aurier (contract terminated at Tottenham), Sidnei (contract with Real Betis rescinded), and Martin Caceres (set to sign with Cagliari). But if a transaction requires a transfer of a player under contract with another club, that can only happen inside the designated FIFA transfer windows.

The tracker with all the official moves (as announced by the clubs) follows below. Here’s the big deadline news you need to know:

And here are some of the names that didn’t move despite many rumors:

Chelsea: Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tino Anjorin both seemed destined for moves, but none were announced. There’s still time for Anjorin’s supposed move to Russia (Sept. 7). Sevilla: Chelsea were said to be in pole position for Sevilla’s 22-year-old Jules Counde, but no deal materialized with Sevilla insisting the only way a transfer would happen was the contract release clause being triggered. Manchester United: Anthony Martial, who is low on the forward depth chart at United, reportedly did not want a transfer. PSG: There was interest in striker Mauro Icardi, but much like what occurred with Mbappe, PSG weren’t interested in selling. Barcelona: Despite a desire to move them along due to budget and squad considerations, Miralem Pjanic and Riqui Puig stayed put. AC Milan: Yacine Adli’s year-long loan to Bordeaux could explain Samu Castillejo sticking around during this window. Liverpool: There was talk that Divock Origi was seeking a move, but nothing materialized. Everton: There was no deal to be made for James Rodriguez. We’ll see what his next few months look like at Everton. Manchester City: The Bernardo Silva rumors had been dying down over recent days, and he ultimately stays with the Citizens. Porto: The 28-year-old Mexican international ‘Tecatito’ Corona will play out the final year of his contract at Porto. Arsenal: The reports on deadline day indicated that Ainsley Maitland-Niles had a clear-the-air meeting with the Gunners’ staff and will stay to fight for a spot.
